  1. Re: String spacing for 6 string to tenor guitar modification

Have you tried putting the strings on the four middle positions rather than at either bass or treble side?, and as Jim Garber says, why change the tuners?
Interesting to hear how you get on.
  2. Re: There has got to be something better than Tabledit, right?

I am with Jacob and foldedpath on this one. I actually used Musescore a few days ago to create mandolin TAB for a tune I had written and posted over on the SAW Group - The Eachaig Jig. I had a...

  6. Re: The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise for Tres Cubano

Another different venture for you, Ondrej. Lovely chordal arrangement, but too short by far! Next one must be longer! Please!
  7. Re: Article: KR Strings Introduces the Mandolindo

Great sound from that instrument! That recording by Justin reminds me very much of the early recordings Les Paul was making when he was experimenting with his multi-tracking on guitar.

    Re: 1st position - 8th fret

You could also try playing the F (3rd fret, D string) with your first finger, then A at 7th fret, 3rd finger, C on A string 3rd fret with 1st finger, High F at 8th fret on A string with 4th finger,...
  9. Re: Let Me Call You Sweetheart for Tres Cubano

Very enjoyable arrangement and playing here, Ondrej. A departure, I think, from your usual? The guitar sounds really good and the sustain at the end is powerful.

    Re: Octave tuning/string tension question

As Martin says, the higher octave string of the pair is around half the diameter or gauge of the lower octave string. You need string which is made to be tuned to that pitch - G3 rather than G2 in...

Re: Can anyone help with this please?

Richard, I tend to agree with Jeff here re the soundboard. The three pieces seem not to be aligned symetrically in relation to the fingerboard, but it is hard to tell from a photo, and since the...

    Re: B7b9

B7b9 and BMaj7b9 are two different chords, Tony. The 7th has a flattened 7th tone, so in B7 this would be A, whereas in BMaj7 it would be A# (as Journeybear has noted in his posting). In playing...
