    Re: Gibson's 1923 F-5 Master Model Reissue

    Search engine for "Gilchrist Loar repair" goes to his web site, "fretboard journal Gilchrist loar repair" should get you to their web site, and it is Fretboard Journal # 38 if you have that.

    Re: Gibson's 1923 F-5 Master Model Reissue

    As a hide glue guy I was somewhat taken out of my comfort zone reading 70281 had the bass tone bar repaired with super glue.
    There is so much to learn and consider.

    Re: Songs about moonshining

    I can recommend Hamper McBee if we're talking songs about moonshining. His life pretty much was songs about moonshining.

    Re: Brunh Mandolin truss rod help

    I do not know the actual truss rod you are looking at in the Brunh.
    It could be similar to the ones from LMII. These appear to have mild steel threaded rod and a stainless nut. Might be a dissimilar...

    Re: This Baby's Got Back!

    Good grief! Pheffernan's image of the Griffith A tribute looks like a wooden model for geology class of what a pre-volcano eruption looks like.

    Re: Repair Questions - No MC

    I would;
    1. Repair
    2. JB Weld or CA the joint
    3. Make a top and back splice patch from a paint stir stick and sand most of the patch away
    4. Edit and retitle the op with "Bass-sized fiddle...
