  2. Phoenix Mandolins...which model is most versatile?

Hi all... I have been very interested in getting a Phoenix mando for some time now, and may finally have some cash coming up to do so.
Question is...which model? I will be using for a wide variety...
  3. Re: Collings MT or Larrivee F33? .... which would you buy?

    Thanks all...
Paul and George make a great point...I believe I may be too caught up in resale...
I would rather focus on the instrument that works best for me.
  4. Re: Collings MT or Larrivee F33? .... which would you buy?

Thanks for all the info...much appreciated and it sort of confirmed my thoughts.
The F33 is definitely a great playing/sounding instrument and the price is lower than any I have seen for an F model...
  5. Collings MT or Larrivee F33? .... which would you buy?

    Hi all...
I am looking at getting a new (and better) mandolin than I currently have.
I have heard such great things about the Collings MT, and it is right at about my "purchase limit" $ wise....

    Re: My Eastman Mandocello problem

Has anyone done this conversion to their Eastman....cutting new nut and bridge to reduce string spacing? If so, could you please comment on how it turned out and if you think it made a big difference...
