Has anyone tried a ToneRite? And if so, what results have you gotten?
I recently bought a KM805 and it's killer. I changed strings to ghs silk and steel and now
will compare sound with my Collings MT. The 805 sounds, plays and looks like it should
cost twice what I...
What do y'all think of the KM 805?
Jeff and Ed - Thank you - Thank you. often times when trying to pick out a tune, I would hear that sour note and think "thats terrible" I've tried to find the sour note while using the...
Thank you all very much. Most helpful
I"m 76 yrs old and have been playing about 2 1/2 years and play with a small group at nursing homes several times a month. I can pick 12 or so tunes from tab and
another 8 or 10 from memory, I...
Are the Webers consistant in tone unlike say the Eastmans?
I'm seriously considering a Weber Gallatin A with the faded leather finish
and am soliciting input and opinions on fit/finish and tone.
I play with a group 3 days a week at different nursing homes and we're looking
for a short (maybe one verse) tune, including tab, to close out the gig.
A couple of years ago I was able contact a company that would generate mandolin
tabs to any song you could think of and of course now that I need the company I
cannot find the phone number and I...
I play an Eastman MD505 and a Collings MT and usually play one or the other every
day. Is it better to store the one not being played in it's case or on a stand in an upright in a position?
I have one and love it. Get j74's on it and play every day (even if only 5 minutes). It is loud and
produces a wonderful sound.
These may not be old time and/or bluegrass - but I'm working on Honky Tonk
Angels, I'm dreaming tonight of my blue eyes and Great Speckled Bird.
Try D'Addario J-74's. Play it every day - keep it out of the case and it will
improve.
I'm tired of changings strings on mandolins the old fashioned way (on the coffee
table while watching TV). Does anyone have plans for a work station or padded
jig that will hold the dang thing...
also - cotton music is a great shop. wonderful people.
I'm 76 yr old and do not have the patience to work out tabs to tunes that I like so - Where can I find tabs for Bluegrass versions of tunes like "It takes one to know one",
"Mary Ann" and...
I have a year old 505 that was professionally set up that sounds as good as it looks. Selling it because I found a great deal on a Collings MT that I couldn't pass up. It'll come with a Superior...
I've got a great year old Eastman 505 for sale at $499.00 that you might like
Sounds like snobs to me. All the folks I hang around with are more than willing to
help and bring beginners along. You have to start someplace. Find a jam
where you are welcome.
I have a great sounding and looking 2014 MD505 for sale.
Has anyone heard of a Signature mandolin???
I entered a drawing on the Mandolin Hangout and won the Mandolin Camp North
package. Due to a prior commitment, I cannot attend and want to sell the
trip. I've checked with the folks at the...
