As mentioned earlier these mandolins are not available locally here in Adelaide
Prefer the oval hole and will be predominantly playing folk tunes both modern and Celtic
And to muddy the waters, have just spotted an Eastman MD304 which I like the look of... Preference? Do not have the scope to compare as neither brand are available in my city in Australia
It all comes back to the Kentucky... Best not to resist them then... Many thanks for the advice

All academic now as got pipped at the post...looking st a kentucky kit as another option...worth the pain for a newbie or should i stay away
It's the only picture I have at present from the owner...intend to pick it up today and then will take some better shots to show the full extent of the instrument's woes

Have a chance to buy this Nashville for $75 and wondered if it would be worth the effort given the damage. I have yet to see or hear it. Any advice appreciated
