looks like they used a viola d amore body
anybody can make a violin , the trick is to make it sound good!
I would go with mando first, you can tune the tenor to mando tuning if you want. the difference in the string length may be a challenge. the right hand is different action on each. I started with...
i had a beautiful van eps tenor banjo with a beautiful neck with carved heal.
i would try finger picking a lot of different options when you do that
ibex big ones are ok , you can make your own also
there is also the big uke, its like a tenor guitar, you can string it in 5ths, nice low tone , nylon strings , very nice change and sound with the same fingerings but longer sting length
i have one also really like it. sorry don't know about the tuners though, good luck
for the violin it took about 2000 hours for me started at 62.
yeah just play more and time , new instruments open up as they say with time
there quality control sucked glad they are gone
check out the helix if you have the money
have fun on your journey
violins are put in after through the ff hole, use archival paper if you want it to last a while.
can you still use a strap?
tinnitus is not worth it
helix hx lite , you can up load all sorts of stuff , so new things coming out you dont have to buy another pedal. at 1k its a lot but if you add up all the pedals you have bought ....
i took a old floor sander put a 18" piece of glass round table top works like a charm
if you don't mind a bigger instrument check out the nui uke, use guitar strings nice low sound
scales and classical music,
I use three line six g10s to a three way switch to a helix light no problems, one for violin , mando , nui, makes it real easy to switch during a song.
i think the nylon strings have a lot less tension as a rule
the nui string length is 23 inches so that helps with the guitar strings. not sure what the length is for you instrument.
i use guitar stings give a great low g by tuning down the low a i use them on a nui very happy with them
