    Re: Stradolin Mandolin

My thoughts too. I am going to pass on it. Too rough when better examples are available. Thank you for your time.

    Stradolin Mandolin

Looking for opinions on this Stradolin mandolin. Is it a solid wood mandolin? The bridge will need replacing.

What year was it made? 50's?

    Thank you for your time.

  15. Re: Strings for a Gibson 1924 A-1 in "player" condition

As said before, please make sure the top is healthy before going with the J74s. The top and brace are fine on my Snakehead A Junior, but I prefer going with lighter gauge strings..

I have been playing Mapes strings on my 1924 Gibson Snakehead A Junior. I like being able to order custom gauges. I have been experimenting with different alloys. Currently have stainless steel on...

Re: New Kentucky KM-606 mandolins are in the wild!

The LM-600 sounded very thin and muted. I think the...

Re: Do You Baby Your Mandolin?

I keep my 1924 Gibson Snakehead a Junior in the case when I am not playing it. Also have a dehumidifier to keep the humidity from getting too high.

So yes I baby my mandolin.
