    Lower Neck Binding Chipping

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Itís a Gibson F5 - fantastic mandolin - about a year and a half old. Right after I bought it, I noticed chipping under the 5th fret. Even though it wasnít...

Re: Do You Baby Your Mandolin?

I have an inexpensive Loar that I keep on a stand in my living room, but I keep the Gibson in the case unless I'm using it. I live in the south and the summertime humidity is brutal.

My Calton that I received in February is just recently beginning to dissipate and I've left it open for days at a time.

Adam who used to do the demos, is also very talented and a nice guy. Nowadays, he is a member of the bluegrass band Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers.

Re: Price Case with an odor.

I'm on the 2nd month of trying to get this smell out of a new Calton Case. I've left it in the sun, used activated charcoal - you name it, I've done it. The smell has lessened, but it's still there.

    Re: Cases and covers

Speaking of which, I've never seen their mandolin case cover in real life, but for $275.00, it should at least glow in the dark or something.

Re: Calton Cases - in pictures

I am a fan of the Mapes strings. I like their Dobro strings too. I had Black Diamonds on when these pictures were taken, but honestly, I prefer the Mapes.

Re: Fretting sharp on the 12th fret E string

Re: the Loar VS Eastman VS Kentucky
