    I actually got one that just turned 5. He loves Bill Monroe for some odd reason. :grin:

    Thinking of quiting mandolin for awhile.

    I can move around the mandolin some. Pick a few tunes here and there. But I really need instruction away from home. I work odd hours which limits my time and I can't drive an hour to get instruction....

    Me and my buddy could meet up with you halfway between m-town and kingsport somewhere and do a show and tell the sumi 1000 is my buddys very hard to tell the difference in tone between it and my 1500.

    sumi km-1000 and km-1500

    I have played alot of gibsons and passernigs and the old sumi's are better tone and volume for a fraction of the price. I have a 1500 and my buddy has a sumi 1000.what is your opinion on this?
