Pretty piece. Well done.
I would never use a magnetic pickup if I was trying to get an acoustic sound though. I would suggest an acoustic pickup like a K&K.
If I am going for electric guitar-like sounds I use a solid-body...
And then give your opinion to everyone.
Wow! These are wonderful.
Oh that does sound good.
I've got the Kala Tenor and it has (of course) a very different sound.
Sweet tone.
I like those too - great mid century look.
They look uncomfortable to play, but I'd love to try one.
Last I checked they were no longer in production.
Yeah... there's that.

You can download the parts here.
If your not a member they make you wait and it inconvenient but doable.

So much more than a metronome, but...
I get a very odd error message from google. Maybe it's on my end.
edit 1st link works now.
Pretty tune.
Not working here.
Google drive is reliable.
Lovely sound.
I'd like to try one of those. $285 is pricey but worth it I think.
The right pick (for you) will tame a harsh E string.
May I suggest ProPlec? They are reasonably priced and give a warm tone.

Using a Baritone Uke (CGDA), a Tenor Guitar (CGDA) and a Mandola
with good old...
In a recording situation I stay about 36" away from the mic.
Also aim the mic towards the fingerboard.
Not a fix, but it helps
I've had mine for a couple of years.
They are very solid and have a pretty good sound.
Tuners not so great.
I use mine mostly at Christmas time. They are very suited for that type of...
I use a Pro Plec on my Kala short scale tenor.
It really tames the brightness. LaBella strings help also.
But sometimes I like it brighter and go for a Golden Gate pick.

In G.
Works well with CGDA tuning.
Agreed.
I'm using a FetHead in place of the CloudLifter and works beautifully at $85.
Also an SM57 clone sounds pretty great also.
I've played the Prelude:
on violin as a kid
on guitar as a teenager
on cello as an adult
on mandolin as an older adult
on mandola as a much older adult
and now on tenor guitar.
It sounds...
I usually busk at this time of year. Lots of good experiences to be had there.
But Covid has put a hold on that.
Still, I'm working on "O Holy Night" and "Winter Wonderland".
Put them in the...
Have you considered a tenor (CGDA) guitar?
Really stands out and versatile.
My new love BTW.
About 7 years ago I had one of their cellos.
Best instrument I ever played. ... sigh
I have a mandola with a flat top. It works well on that one.
I have another with a carved top that is fairly flat where the fingerboard meets the body.
A little padding on one side works fine.
