Here’s a nice article from a couple years back: ...
“If my notes are accurate, all Flatirons were made in Montana until 2001.”
I’m pretty sure I had a 1996 Flatiron A5 that was made in Nashville.
Brandon--I would ask Bruce Weber.
I ordered off Bandcamp this morning. What a fine album!!!
Carl will be teaching at Monroe Camp in September.
Welcome! I’m from NC, but just back from a great camping trip in Texas—spent a few days in Hill Country (camped in Blanco), and then at Copper Breaks and Palo Duro Canyon. Managed to meet up with a...

yikes, I didn't know the Collings made mandolin cases were going for that much!
Gil—now that’s funny! I don’t know about other parts of the country, but the same issues existed at all the shows I have been to in the Carolinas.
Any reports? I didn't make it this year
I should mention that I won Doug's Texas Independence Day giveaway--yahoo, and thanks, Doug!!
I knew Collings had cut back on production, but never heard that they completely stopped building mandolins. I knew Weber stopped…….
Mike,
Are you sure about that?
Darby--I kept getting errors when clicking on link, so I went directly to youtube and took the liberty of imbedding here. Great job on #36!!

You could consider a case cover w/outside pocket to put on the original case
Sister Sadie announced on FB today that Mary Meyer was their new mandolin player/vocalist.
Both Bill Monroe’s original and Tony Rice’s version list the song as “The Gold Rush”.
I have not seen any announcement. Tina was not on the show, which can be seen at circle tv website. I was just passing along the way she was introduced.
Mary Meyer—she was introduced as the newest member. She was featured on Mandolin Mondays a while back.

I don’t know of any tab. There is a mandolin break on this version, I believe by Bobby Osborne.

I think the silk and bronze are a little warmer but not at the expense of volume. Doyle Lawson endorses them, so I guess they meet the bluegrass test!
