I would acquire a Gilchrist mandolin (and I have), rather than spending a number of weeks on a cramped cruise liner, if that is the difference between a lower cost mandolin and the price of this...
..... I find myself at the other end of the spectrum. Had the florida on one of my mandolins extended under and then beyond the bridge, ending just short of the tailpiece. I now play in dark caves...
