No, it should not be banned at open jams with any number of beginner players.
It’s a great song with easy chords and everyone knows the lyrics.
But beyond that, somebody called that song...
That’s strange. I put the Grovers on my 2016 MD515 last year with no issues (https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/threads/162561-Grover-409-Tuner-Installation-Guide-for-Eastman-F-style-Mandolin), but...
Grover 409 (get the worm under model).
Just need to drill the two outside screw holes.
Looks great! Enjoy!
The Line 6 Relay system has an XLR out on the receiver base that could run to a PA board.
An Eastman MDO305E-SB octave mandolin.
The Mandolin Store has faster shipping than Santa, though, so it already came.
The pictures are scary stuff.
I have a Cumberland bridge on my Eastman. Amazing product.
I hope they can get back up and running soon.
I’ve had a good experience using my Radial AC Driver with K&K pickups.
Seems like a good reason to use some coated strings. They’ll let you go 2-3 times longer before you have to mess around with changing strings again.
Don’t be afraid to try new shapes and thicknesses within the Primetones.
I used a smooth 1.5mm 351 shape for a few years, then switched this year to using 1.4mm large triangles. I feel like it is...
Beautiful!

I paired a “black custom maple” Dr. Arm armrest with my sunburst Eastman. I like that the shading is similar to the burst on the mandolin.
A sure sign of a truly dedicated mandolinist is having an arm rest that matches the bridge that matches the fretboard that matches the strap that matches the belt that matches their shoes.
I feel like a solid-body electric may be the best solution, if you truly don’t need acoustic tone.
No feedback, better magnetic pickups, and you can run it through the electric guitar rig that you...
Great stories!
This is a scam.
Except they’ve actually recently expanded their acoustic production facility in Montana.

Just got back from a week in Quebec City and Montréal.
Quebec City is amazing. Great history, street scenery, and food. Get ready to walk some stairs up and down the cliffs, though.
Saw a few...
I stand corrected!
Thank you for clarifying.
It’s all relative, ain’t it.
I use a Radial AC Driver with my K&K pickup.
It’s a fairly simple device. The Radial has no EQ options, but it has nice feedback filters, a high pass filter, and a mute switch (key with the K&K...

I’ve been very happy with the Gretsch G9310 “New Yorker Supreme” as my camping/fireside/backup/beater instrument. All solid mahogany, so a mellower tone than your typical spruce/maple...
