Hey Chuck, I think you will find that this material holds up very well. I sent a few casein picks to top-level professional players (who play for hours a day) and they both said (unprompted) they...
Thank you very much for all this positive feedback folks! It never gets old to hear things like this. :)
Have a great day,
Nik
Eugene: As it happens, I've got a bunch of Ultem (in both green and black) and I'd be happy to make some custom picks for you. Feel free to PM me if you are interested.
Hey Folks,
Thank you all for all these kind words. I appreciate the feedback greatly.
Medley12 & Caleb: I really like that GG tri shape too. I was turned on to it by my buddy Adam Schlenker...
Heya folks,
Thanks for the feedback. As a matter of fact, I have experimented with a few techniques (for putting my logo on the picks). And while I got a few passable results, nothing looks...
Thanks for your kind words. I will follow this thread, but I'm not always much of a talker. I've been a member of MandolinCafe for about a decade, but I do a lot more reading than typing. I'd...
if you know it please pm me. thanks,
I'd like to correct my last post (#26), but I am not sure how to edit it. The seller updated the add and the listed it as a 2002. That seems about right. The serial number is indeed #150. Don...
Correct. This mandolin is serial no. 150 and it was made sometime around 1995. If it were it would a vintage series Red Diamond it would command a higher price. Morgan Music is selling this.
The Red Diamond listed on Reverb is not from 2012. It is one of Don's earlier mandolins (before he started the vintage series).
Could I be added to the list as well?
Thanks.
good call! thanks. I'm not sure how to delete this tread now though.
please delete
Please enter me into the drawing! Thanks,
Nik.
On page two of this article, after we see some of his mandolins, Dawg says "and you thought you had MAS!!" I think that at this level of musicianship owning these mandolins is more of a right than a...
Thanks for the suggestions. I decided that it is a bit too risky to buy something like this on ebay. Elderly is only 2 hours away so I will make a trip up there check out what they have. It'll be...
I found this 1929 Gibson mandolin on ebay. Seems like a good deal, but I am not sure what these go for. I asked the seller a few questions and they got back with me right away, but buying something...
I sold that MT to Rob Fowler and bought it from Thejamdolinplayer. That is a very nice mandolin.
Orrin,
I am interested as well. I already have skype and a build in camera. Check your pm inbox for my contact info.
thanks
Nik
I am sure you could find old threads on this topic, but i think it boils down to the fact that you get what you pay for. I have played both quite a bit and I can say that the Kentucky certainly is a...
Do you ever get bored of making music.
