Thanks to all responders. I do remember some of the threads ya'll linked to.
I will pass along to my friend that it's a pre 1936 Regal, possibly as old as 1915.
Thanks!

This is a mandolin my neighbor has. He wants to use it as a wall hanger, but he would like to know a little about it. I thought I knew something about mandolins, but no idea here. It's flat top,...
I'm a member for the second time. Mike Marshall's work ethic is off the chart, just as is his skill level.
It's a good way to organize your practice and getting feedback from Mike Marshall is...
Yes, I'm going It looks like a great deal and Learning from a great player.
Good lineup at the festival too.
Very nice mandolin. Post some of that Shove The Pig's Foot A Little Closer To The Fire on it!
Loved it! Thanks Mandolin Cafe
There is a teacher named Paul Oorts I met at Hill Country Music Camp. He leads what he calls a social orchestra, which is whatever instrument shows up, he arranges the tune so everyone has a part. ...
You can get a really good fiddle from Steve too.

As far as removing the pickup to put in another mandolin, you have to drill 1/2" in the tail for the pup to fit, that's on the Mandolin Twin Internal pickup. I'm not sure if a 1/2" tail pin is...

Check out Chet on mandolin at 19:00
Will the Lace pickup work with J74 strings? Also, do you need a preamp with it?
I have no experience to speak of with pickups but the Lace looks easy.
My fiddles and D18 sit there for months and stay in tune close enough to play. Banjo and mandolin go all over the place almost day to day.
Wonder where "area parking lots" are. Parking in one of the near lots at the bottom of the hill like Hallmark said might work.
Does anyone know if you have to have a parking pass at the Sheraton? Can you drive from another hotel and park to go in and jam?

If you have the ability to practice two or three hours a day, you can get that good on every fiddle tune you know. Thank goodness you don't have to be that good to enjoy playing.
Nice job, good groove.
Thanks all.
I'll be working in Bartlett for about 8 weeks. Anybody know of venues to see acoustic music and also jams either BG or oldtime or open jams.
Thanks
Nice job on all three. I guess if I had to pick one it would be #2.
I never realized those tunes were the same, good catch JL277g.

Just found this one.
They used to have all the Flatt & Scruggs shows. I wish they would bring them back.
