I don't think anyone is saying not to go with the Rosa. I personally don't know anything about them. We were just giving our opinions like you ask for and well, you know what they say about...

I'd say take a few hundred bucks off your budget and spend it on a road trip to Nashville. Carter Vintage Guitars has a slew of great mandos in your price range including a Big Mon (I played it a...
I suspect that label was signed a long time ago maybe for another Monroe model. The label says Gibson Bozeman, MT.
I bought a couple of sets of black plastic for Grover 309s from Jenny at phoenixmandolins@gmail.com. They’re going out of business and had an ad about a month ago with stuff for sale. They were $10 a...

Moving up to a better instrument as your skills improve is not MAS I n my opinion. Suppose you started on a Rogue, it’s only natural to move up to a better mandolin. It’s when you have a perfectly...
Welcome to Mandoholics Anonymous. Keep coming back!
That looks like a Silverangel which is a great mandolin. I would play that one as much as possible. Also check out Mandolessons.com

I'm a sucker for block inlays myself. You might check out Kentucky 805 or even better the Eastman 615 now comes with inlays.
Well I’ve been picking on this mandolin for a week now and I am not disappointed! Definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Well it’s coming home to me. I’ve been wanting one with a redwood top.
Awesome Skip, I think I have a deal worked out at this time. I had already made an offer prior to starting this thread, I guess I was making sure I was on the right track. When Kevin said it had...
I’m don’t care for the stripes either. Figure I might could live with it if the sound AND the price is right. I also would prefer it had medium frets instead of the standard skinnies.
This Mando appears to have a lot of potential. My question is what would be the long term value of this instrument over time. Mandomutt is not sure what model Kentucky is was but you can tell it’s...
Here’s a Stonebridge made by Furch at Fiddlers Green with a video. http://www.fiddlersgreenmusicshop.com/instrument/2006-stonebridge-f5
I’m still kicking myself in the butt for not jumping on that one myself!! Thought I’d think it over and then it was gone! Luckily, made a deal locally on a Collings MT.

I suspect that it's a misprint since they call it Mammoth ivory 1-1/16" standard Bush would be 1-3/16".
Yep, I would contact Guitar Works. If you bought it new they might warranty it. I started on a Guitar Works mandolin myself.
I love my Eddie Finn mando stand. The only problem is the foam padding at the top wears out quickly and has to be replaced with standard pile insulation available at hardware stores.
