Yeah, the traffic is a drag. I haven't been there for a while, but I think both times I went on Saturdays and the drive was better.
I have tried several other luthiers in the valley and still ended up at Gryphon in the end. Now I just go there to begin with. It's worth a few extra hours to make sure it's done properly.
