I bought the second to last one yesterday, not realizing it's a full-size telecaster body. Seems like it could look/feel a little ridiculous with the smaller and shorter neck. We'll see.

I just lucked into a Fender Tenor Tele as a six-string player. I'd like to diversify into fifths but the learning curve has been a little sharp. Transposing guitar tabs to fifths tuning is especially...

I'd be looking for GDAE or maybe even going wild with octave Bass (EADG), so it sounds like the bigger body wins. I didn't realize that about 70's Martins. Wonder if it applies to the Tenors as well....
60's 15, 70's 18. The 18 looks so much bigger but the prices are roughly the same. What would you prefer and why? Thanks!
I'm trying to learn standard notation for a GDAE tuned tenor guitar. Appreciate any resource recommendations.
The same way the Blueridge line.. "stylistically borrows" from the 0-18T Martin, is there a more budget-friendly brand/model that borrows from the 5-15T or 5-17T?
Much appreciated. I've got 11's on my 24" Fender six string, so I'm thinking at least 12's on this little guy.
I'm working on setting up a soon-to-arrive Fender Tenor Telecaster (22.75" scale). Fender states it ships in DGBE with gauges of 24-16-11-9. That seems super low for string tension (13.3 - 12.8 - 9.6...
It makes sense, but being able to already play the Guitar and Baritone Uke, it wouldn't offer the different vibe and sound I'm looking to add.
Thanks! It's Green Day / Nirvana / 90's covers type of stuff. So mainly humping power chords with some fairly basic riffs sprinkled in. The duo I play in is a lot more lead fills heavy.
I'm diversifying from six string guitar to a tenor guitar, with the potential it'll become my main instrument. I started as a uke player and moved to GDAE for a bit on a tenor, but moved to a six...
My current group plays a lot of top 40, 70's, and 90's covers. I'd like to diversify to mandolin (we have FIVE guitar players in rotation now) and had played tenor guitar (GDAE) years back, which I...
I've taken a little journey in the last several years from Ukulele to Baritone Ukulele to Tenor Guitar (GDAE) to Guitar and now after finding myself as the fifth guitarist in my gigging band's...
I'm cancelling a Tenor Tele preorder for a new unit out of Italy today. I'd imagine they'll re-list it soon on Reverb. It's a new unit out of Italy shipping in February for retail pricing. Keep an...
I didn't realize bouzouki had octaves. Interesting.
This is really interesting. Thanks for commenting!
Really great content here. A lot to think about!
The tenor guitar you play tuned CGDA right? Thanks

Yeah this was my experience last night as well. Just either fighting for the same space or buried.
How far up the neck do you usually go before it gets too high? I started my strings journey on the uke and moved to guitar when I realized anything above the 7th fret is sonically pretty unpleasant....
I've reached a pop cover live-performance octave GDAE fluency (major/minor scales, major/minor/7 chords) and finally played with the duo partner I usually play guitar with. I was a little...

Do any of their offerings have a standard electric guitar/tenor guitar string spacing? Looks like everything is uke or near-uke spacing.
I appreciate everyone's inputs and recommendations. I'm currently working directly with an instructor and that's going well. I'm finding more free time as summer comes to an end and will work through...
I've seen that these need a new saddle to properly intonate GDAE. Does anyone make one or is this an in-person luthier job exclusively? Thanks!
