    Re: Barn Find Gibson

Can't understand why it hasn't been cleaned with a little more TLC. The bracket holding the pickguard is harbouring a lot of verdigris. I'd need to get that cleaned off.

    Re: Mandolin luthier

Strange, I've made about four purchases from Dave and never had a problem placing an order. Maybe he is away or ill. Keep trying.

    Re: Tremolo number of notes

That's a very nice example of a measured tremolo, as I don't recall hearing unmeasured tremolo in a performance, does anyone have a video clip example.

  6. Securing pickup to underside of tenor guitar top

The piezo pickup on my tenor guitar has come adrift, the adhesive pad holding it has become weakened. What can I use to refix it that won't interfere with the performance of the pickup.

Nice looking and sounding Cecherini. Can you comment on the tuning at the lower frets - a known problem with this luthier. If it is good, do you think that the fretboard could be a later addition,...

Re: Christmas Music - Standard & Tab

I can't see how to download your Christmas book. I'm logged in but clicking on the "attached thumbnails" doesn't do anything.

Non slip pad for seated classical playing

What do you guys use to stop your mandolin slipping on your thigh whilst playing classical style, I don't think a strap looks right. I've noticed some use the non slip matting that caravanner's use...

Oops! my first post and I've put it in the wrong section. I've also not mentioned that I am playing a Fender FM52E acoustic electric.

    What size amplifier

I've recently started playing for folk dancing in a band, varying in size from 5 to 10 players. Not only can I not hear myself, but I'm sure the dancers can't hear me either. I also intend playing...
