Many people like 1-1.5mm. But some like real thin, and some 2 mm or thicker.
As you can see, mileage varies.
Not sure, but maybe Annie Lawrence, judging by the Weber Artist page.
Paul Glasse, but very hard to find. Tim Connell’s Stumptown Swing album.
Aaron Weinstein has some great YouTube videos doing chord melody.
And there’s plenty of mp3s under the ‘learn/listen’...
That’s why you take lessons as a beginner. I spent 6 months on the wrong path before I got good instruction. Easier to start right than to fix basic things later.
It’s a wonderful site with otherwise unobtainable musical treasures.
And even nicer now:)
Fret precisely, short fingernails. Practice slowly, it is harder to get a cleaner tone with the small frets. No magic there, for me anyway.
Well, we are only caretakers, and we all make our choices, but ...........
I’m sure you’ll be happy with your new love.
But playing in the dark evens out the tone in my septuagenarian ears:)
My way would be Stan Rogers Road:)
You can build a 7 chord by either dropping the root or raising the 5. So 243x is pretty simple, so is 545x. You need the 3 and the b7, the 1 and 5 are optional. I wouldn’t bother with all 4...
I’m fond of the 346 shape Primetone, but they’re more slippery to hold than a BC. But the Radex, same shape in the 1 mm, is very suitable. Wears a bit more quickly than a Primetone. BCs as fairly...

Satan is Real is a great book, story of the Louvin brothers.
Wonderful player, beautiful interpretation.
Thanks
Just to be sure, the tune is “for what it’s worth”, originally by Buffalo Springfield.
Suggesting that there have been other periods of shortage provides no information or insight into the current situation except to say ‘it occurs sometimes’.
That’s not particularly helpful to...
I’d learn G chords:
455x for G
523x for C or 023x
745 for D or 245x
022x for Em or 457x
But play for fun. Learn lots of melodies, there’s plenty of tunes to enjoy in all genres.
Horn...
Really, how relevant is that question? Would ‘better than the 1750’s’ be a good answer?
Juststrings seems to have them now, at least the nanoweb ones. But I couldn't find them a few weeks ago and ended up buying something else.
I wasn’t aware that Matt authorized sharing his written material to those who hadn’t taken his classes. He hadn’t done so in the classes I have taken.
There are plenty of other sources for those...
That lesson site is very interesting. Thanks
Watching Nathan Livers play at that pace is awesome too. Not to mention their Mando duets.
They’ve been out there a while. I especially like ‘Johnny Cash black’.:)
Never heard one.
When bands play at the ‘show off speed’, as Jethro called it, sometimes there’s some meaningful ideas conveyed. But often, it’s just a spewing of notes with nothing interesting being said. The fact...
