I try to avoid listening to his music so I have no feelings for the guy one way or the other.
Brentrup? I must need glasses. I thought mandopixie's avatar mandolin said Plumprump.
Flip-It-Fast has the highest quality photos of instruments of any seller on eBay.
Will anyone other than the Mandolin Store be selling these?
I spent last winter in Waikiki so of course I became acquainted with a good many Canadians. I can vouch for them and truly say that they are a wonderful people. :)
I was in Mandolin Brothers one time and they had two new Collings MF5s on the wall. One of them wasn't as loud as the other so they put a tone-gard on it. This was proof for me that these things...
I went to a New Lost City Ramblers concert in the 60s and saw Mike Seeger play a couple of F style Gibsons. I thought they looked cool and sounded even cooler.
Interesting that the Cafe home page is announcing a Dudenbostel website. Not long ago Lynn, on the message board, denounced most public communication. In fact he said he was withdrawing from the...
That house is a monster. I heard they build em big in Texas. How many square feet? How many of those sold? :disbelief:
I remember watching the Gosdin Brothers in the early 60s on Cal's Corral. They were half of the Golden State Boys. Sometimes Roland and Clarence White would join them. It's a big loss.

Collings ships with J74s.
Excellent topic, I've often wondered the same thing. I like to drool over mandolin pictures on the internet but to keep my mando awake and sounding it's best I know I need to have just the one that I...
PW,

They're fun to look at. You are right. They used to cost a lot less.
Very nice mandolin. You have excellent taste.
Thumbs down for me too Scott. Perhaps you have been in Kansas too long. Maybe you could travel a little, get some fresh air?
Bill, You are correct. I meant to say nut. Thanks.
My travel mandolin is a Rover RM 50. I switched the plastic bridge to a bone one and it made a world of difference. Really good mandolins for the bucks.
I like the Collings softy strap. I think it's like $35.
