    All good advise from above, you will not find a playable F style in your budget and might find an A style if you are lucky. Buying Mandolins on Amazon is not recommended IMO.

    I have two. The first is a mandolin I built in 2001 based on a combination of a Lyon & Healy bell shaped tiple and style A mandolin. The second is a Girouard F-5 #83 built in 2014.
