Just checked the Buffalo Bros website, "The Loar" is listed at $2500. Sorry but it was average at best compared to the other mandos in the store.
Buffalo Bros has one right now, I played it 2 weeks ago and it was nothing spectacular, certainly no better than the other webers on the wall. Can't remember what they were asking for it.
When the Alan Jackson song "Remember When" came out about a year ago everbody wanted the tab but it was nowhere to be found.
Does anybody know where to find it now, anybody here tabbed it out?

B.patt..........you killed me with that one!
Just an observation, but through all the frequent Gibson "Bashing" on this site I continue to see informative, helpful and timely responses posted by the Gibson staff including its Master Mandolin...

I have finally settled on Dunlop 208's. I tried the big stubby, golden gates and Dogs (ok, Dawgs but for $1.75 each I expected more bark). Just borrow as many varieties as you can until you find the...
When someone advertises an instrument (or any item) as being in very good to excellent condition it paints a certain mental picture. IE: its something that you can take out and play right from the...
Dunlop 207's. They are GREAT!
Love mine! It is great for what it is, a very small ,liteweight, inexpensive instrument that you can take anywhere to practise and play with. Concert quality? NO Really fun? YES
Oh yea, by the way. I bought mine at Buffalo Brothers also. GREAT STORE!
The necks are dovetailed! Sometimes someone here goes to the Collings website and says there is a neck joint pic that shows a bolt. Yes there is but it is a GUITAR neck. There are NO BOLTS in the...
