The pin should pull out, but it's possible someone glued it in. If so, it may break unless you can steam it. Otherwise, the above suggestions are correct.

Oh yeah and a couple of bridges were knocked out that were sole access to the islands on the other side of them, aside from boat or helicopter, that is.
Trees, parts of buildings and signs, and other debris all over the place. Signs that aren't down are bent over. High water in places.
