I wear the OM strap either sitting or standing...I find it just supports the weight on my left hand. I couldn't tell you if the scale length is the same but at first I found the frets on the mandolin...

i have just took possession of a Paul Hathway Octave Mandolin. First class service direct from Paul Hathway. A padded gig bag and new strings where given as well.

I know exactly what you mean about the near misses. I have now ordered the Paul Hathway OM-1 Octave. Interesting comparison with the Kentucky 815. I couldnt agree more.....it does make perfect sense...
