    Well, neither the mineral spirits nor the naphtha damaged the finish in the test area. Mineral spirits did bugger-all to soften the gunk, but the naphtha is doing the trick.

    Ah, I see it now ... not so much a separation as a nasty top crack on the bass side.

    If you bought this A4 and the one from Shopgoodwill you could get a decent Frankenmando out of the two of them.

    Prices tend to get stupid on Shopgoodwill for stuff like this. If nothing else, that's probably a $150 tailpiece and a $250 set of tuners.

    Isn't naphtha precisely the wrong thing for nitro finishes, though? I have both, but Kevin warned me to stay away from the naphtha.
