    Re: feedback issues

I would try just what I said in my post, I get more volume with condensers than dynamic mics. You need to mess with the mids on that 990 channel. You also should dedicate a practice with the whole...

Re: Choices for a single mic.....

I agree with Trey, you can't beat the 2020 for gigs we use one for vocals and small instrument condesors for instruments. It works really well for us and it's very rugged.

    Re: feedback issues

I do sound for our 5 piece bluegrass band and have used the 990, with that being said when your using a big condenser always start with the mids at about 9 o'clock and the lows at about 11 on that...

Re: Column: Where is Bluegrass Headed?

Has anybody noticed the Earls of Leister pack every place they play, Hmmmm I wonder why, maybe it's because they play bluegrass. Just sayin.

    Re: Surprising powered speakers

Behringer has come along way in the past 5 years, I wouldn't be afraid to buy their equipment now. They have a 3 year warranty now.

Re: Loar LM 600 and DžAddario EXP77

All mandolins sound different with different strings, I would probably keep experimenting, it's possible you will find even a better match. It also depends a lot on humidity.

Let us know what you think of them, the 75s will give you more volume, but tougher on the fingers.

    Re: Tubby

I think the tubby sound has something to do with the bracing, the stradolins have that sound and the bracing travels the same way as the bridge, even on the f-hole mandos.

Re: If I Could Only Listen To One Player.

There's so many great players out there like Frank Solivan, Dave Harvey, Ronnie Mccoury, Doyle Lawson, I've learned something from all of them. And the greats that have passed. Monroe, Duffey,...

Re: My new (New to me) KM-800

The serial number on mine is 14966, it came with a superior Loar style case and it came with a pick guard also. It's a very sharp looking mandolin, flamed back and the Bella voce inlay.
