Or, Only Gibsons are glued enough.
I have a friend with a Northfield and they're doing a lot of things right.
In the early 2000's Gibsons salesman used to talk about how they were the ones who invented the F5 and how everyone else making them was ripping Gibson off.
I'm glad they are making the effort to...
I don't know much about the subject but when I saw the video of Roger hammering the tonebars of a mandolin with the top attached to the sides I thought to myself that can't be how Gibson did it since...
I made a few A's with quilted necks and I used CF and a truss rod on those just for safety's sake.
John is all about taste and tone, adding what the song needs instead of flash.
I cheated and Googled it. A Premier/ Multivox from the 60's. That's Rosanne doing the harmony.
I agree it didn't work. Apples and oranges.

I got this shot of that mandolin and I still have it as my wallpaper.
One of my early ones. Truth was I had gotten the wood from a Canadian supplier and when finished blonde it had a horrible runout problem and this was the only solution I could think of.
This is from my band Crabshack House Band. The song was written by Skye Yates in New Mexico. Used an old familiar for the instrumental break.
It's the execution, not the materials that count to me.
Sierra Hull did in a Gibson Youtube and it's pretty impressive.
Start high.
While Adrian has some issues with the fine details to me this is a step in the right direction in getting it right.
The usps phone hotline says it will be tomorrow, something still not on tracking.
15 years ago when PO didn't get a mando delivered overnight they gave me the $ back. Those days are over. First, I...
