Hi Dina - personally I think this 1952 Gibson a-50 is a really nice option https://www.mandolincafe.com/ads/164420#164420
Fiddler's Green is asking $1200 for that one - they might be open to a...
I see the rest of the tracks are now available on Bandcamp - just bought a copy. Sisters of Spring is a great tune...some good mando playing Dennis!
Great tune and really nice playing. Congrats!
So many nice tributes here and on social media...links to great concert footage, cool photos. I re-read this great article in Fretboard about the history of Tony's D-28, his love for the old "Bone"...
good stuff!
That was fantastic!
Thanks all for the nice feedback. That guitar is a 1940 L-00 - records really well. Mic'd the guitar and mando with mid 1970's Neumann KM-84

The 2009 A Heritage and 2015 F Artist. It's an iphone video so the sound quality is what it is. And my playing is what it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=marNHgQoHbQ&feature=youtu.be
I will post a comparison video. I'll be interested in your impressions
Thanks Mark. It was a lucky turn of events - I was not in the hunt, but it was offered to me in a trade. It's really a fantastic instrument. I haven't met a Heiden that isn't...
This thing jumped the fence and joined the herd. I believe it's the only A style Heritage to leave his shop 190564190565
Very nice!
I find I can get my Heiden to sound like a Gilchrist by maxing the treble on the tone knob 190380up
And I missed one 190363
Old Growth asked me to post these photos of his '77 Halsey since his computer was not cooperating: 190360190361190362
Shaun, your Heiden sounds great! Nice playing too. What's the tune?
Mary, I played it at Wintergrass. Phenomenal instrument. I hung out with Mr. Heiden and got to play that F5 and the Heritage F5 Kritt bought and both mandolins were amazing...powerful...so touch...
I had a mental lapse and stupidly let that one go....it was an incredible instrument
...and you guys have probably already seen it, but there's a really nicely written article about Michael Heiden's career as a builder in the latest Fretboard Journal...some nice photography too
190010 Welcome to the club Darwin. A Heiden mandolin is a special thing
I had a beer with Mr. Heiden at Wintergrass and got to play this Heritage and new F Artist he had with him. Both were incredible, but this Heritage nearly knocked my hat into Puget Sound. One of...
Plus one for Sully Straps - I have several and love them. He does great straps with shoulder pieces for banjo, guitar and dobro that don't slip... and he offers a discount for nudist mandolin players
