What would be appropriate string diameters for a 20" scale OM? Also, has anyone used Newtone strings on their shorter scale OM and how did you like them?
Are these Recurve cases still available?
Thanks
What strings and diameters are you using?
Thanks,
Mike Thomas

Has anyone here heard the new Eastman octave mandolin? I'm looking at it as well as some used Weber Galatins a couple of Hyalites and a few Weber Sage flat tops.

Is anyone from the Cafe going? I also noted that it wasn't listed in the Workshop section this year.
Anyone know what, if anything, is up?

Well, it's July and I'm thinking about the Portal Irish Music Camp again. Could anyone offer a bit of feedback on their experience last year?
Thanks,

A solution for every problem, and a problem for every solution.
Bernuzio's lists several types of Calace strings. I've been trying to get the diameters for the different types, but no luck so far.
well Nobull, it looks like Joe hit another home run! I know EXACTLY how you feel! Mine still sits next to my favorite chair, with it's case (ivory Hiscox) behind the chair so I can grab it on a...
How about removing the saddle and threaded bits, and applying solvent through the remaining holes. Should weaken the glue from the inside of the bond. then work the outside of the joint with a...
I think the evolution of our ability to appreciate music was touched on in the books "Your Brain on Music" and "Musicophelia".
