Interesting to me to note that there have been about 275 views of this thread, yet the little video has only been viewed about 50 times. So if my math is not too far off, a one in five ratio. Hmmmmm.

Astro,
Yep, that's a selfie.
All the drawings are done on 4x6 cards, Sharpie (permanent marker) and about 3 to 6 minutes each (however long the song was).
Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Bill. I'd forgotten how to do that.

Well, I've finally posted my sketches of fiddlers and jammers and bluegrass players from my Bluegrass on the Beach adventure of 2014. I invite you to take a look for a couple minutes or so.

As it turns out, nickels, dimes, even dollars, also count, as well as pennies. How much money is added up in the movie? I wonder...

UsuallyPickin,
Sure. I got a few minutes. send away!

Here's a quick look at sixty-some fiddler drawings from earlier this year. Don't blink, you'll miss someone. Similar to my other movies from bluegrass festivals and such. Hope you like it. (I...

Another new song, another 67 sketches. And words as well as music. Music video hot off the drawing board. All acoustic, all the time.

If fact, does Arizona have the second-most boat registrations in the country? I thought I heard that unbelievable statistic once.

I few folks have wondered about the movie from LAST year, 2012, too.
Well, here it is, for comparison:

Scott, thanks for fixing the embed thing. I still don't have that figured out. Here's a shot from the movie though:
From March of 2013. Ten bands performing over three days. On the beach in Arizona. All in under four minutes.
Thanks for watching.

I've had a recent observation shared with me, noting that the sketches change too quickly. Not in regards to the tempo of the music, but too quick to observe each drawing well enough. But would a...

Of course, fiddle contests often celebrate other activities, other instruments. For instance, in Ajo:

This one-second per fiddler movie, one minute long, has been updated and adjusted for tempo from the original post a week or so ago. The link to this version got buried at the end of the other...
Well, a revision has been uploaded. This one is synched to the music. And a couple other tweaks.

thanks for watching.
Excellent. And try the Cleverlys for a few other boffo covers in a bluegrass vein, but with an underlying tongue in cheek.
Bertram, I quite agree. This one was part of a one-second challenge, and I didn't have time to adjust the soundtrack to 1 beat per second. Next time...
Allen's avatar DOES look like something I'd done, but unless I'm mistaken, I didn't done it.
Here's Marshall Racowsky anyway. He won the Tucson Accompanist division.
Gosh, I didn't get the names of everyone, especially the guitarists. Unless they entered the accompanist competition, then I drew them. Do you know if he did? What's he look like?
Here's a new movie, just over a minute long, showing about 70 fiddlers competing at a couple recent Arizona contests. Each sketch was drawn in two to three minutes and each is presented here for one...
