    .... I used d'addario EJ80 octave mandolin set for the lower strings, and added a .010 or .009 string pair for the high notes.

    I have several waldzitterns, and perhaps the best reason for me was to change (one of them) from a 9 to a 10 string instrument, making the lowest chore double strings. Obviously it needed a new set...
