Many thanks, Aidan :)
The duo I play in, "Boxing Robin" (a Nolan Ryan reference if you follow baseball at all) has just released a new single recording.
Two mandolins here, a National resonator and a Breedlove FF.
...
Many thanks, Graham!
Cheers :)
OOF! I'll fix that. Right... now...
Thanks John! :)
I never do this, but some self promotion:
I know many of you, mostly from my decades of playing Irish mandolin and accordion. I've had the pleasure of teaching several workshops (including the...
Well, I love the tune (what fun to play it on mandolin!) but I almost never get to play it in sessions because I can't start it. Well I could, but you know...
My old buddy Mike Dugger has written...
Come by the house Joe, I'll play it for you. Bring a food offering :)

Heh heh heh... Well, mine was in the case behind us, but it saw plenty of playing time over the weekend.

They hold up well in the rain,...
Maybe next year for me...
Learn to play accordion-- you can shout them down and keep them at your tempo. Done it many times. : )

Wow-- are those bullrushes?
Cool!
I look forward to hearing it!

I'll second that, and this is the only reason I own a National- bought it in 2006, s/n 012. I called National about the tuners (they kept the mando in tune but were hard to turn, even with...
Had an interesting St. Pat's. Played an hour solo set before the band my son's in took the stage (hey, may as well get some payback here). I was expecting the worst since they are in the Dropkick...
Bwahahahahahaahahahahaha!!!!
Hahahahahaha...
But Jason has a lefty-- that greatly increases his Cool Factor!
I love mine! The original tuners were the black-buttoned tuners that were very hard to turn. Grovers were a big improvement, but I really do like the National.

Thanks for the kind words, Mark- you're well on your way, yourself!
One thing that's impressed me with the Touchstone is the balance from low to high. Notes on the E string sing just as easily...
Just ordered it, thanks.
