    Re: Favorite Metronome

That is the one I use. I also use a drum machine. Very important tool for building speed. PLay your scales and increase the speed on the metronome as you progress.

That helps. I am leaning towards the Kentucky.

Being a new instrument with the foam under the bridge, Iwoudl suspect that it needs to be fit to the top.

Take it in for a set up if you are not handy with that.

  9. Re: Suggestions for the Solution of Limited Options Problem

If you can find a bluegrass jam or festival, there will be plenty around.

I picked up my first mando at a pawn shop. It was a Kay and I paid $50.00.

Knowing what I know now, I would look at a...

Re: Is my new mando trash?

I would say keep the one you like and save up for a higher end preferably American made instrument, new or used but play it before you buy it.

Still searching for a F style oval.

Recently saw a listing for a Kentucky KM670.

Seems both have a fatter neck and radiused fingerboard. I like that.

    Major differences between the Eastman...

    Re: Weber now?

I have 3 Montana Webers and did acquire an Oregon A body that was fantastic. I sold it to a friend that needed a mando and he was very pleased with it. I would not hesitate to recommend either.

    Re: Advice on a Mandola?

I have had one for several years. It has a great sound, playability, and is made in the USA.

I ordered it and had it built to my specs. It's a keeper.

    Re: Eastman MD 614

That is good info. I am looking at the Eastmans because of the radiused fretboard. Gotten quite comfortable with the MK neck, and the Eastman seems to be quite similar.

    Re: Michael Kelly Dragonfly 2
