George,
Will I actually need a luthier to change out the bridge or would this be best practice to have one involved?
My 315's tuners always keep it in tune. So far that has not really been an issue. Seems like a better bridge will really help out. I was curious about it a new tailpiece would really matter?
I have been playing an Eastman 315 for almost two years. Its all stocked. I really like it and I'm not really in a position to fully upgrade to a new mando.
So my question is, which 1 thing...
Chris, I have a M150 and I wish it was a little bigger.
I purchased a rounded tremolo V pick a few years and never got into it. I pulled it out a few weeks and it is now my go to. Does anyone have any suggestions of picks like this that are similar in...
Yes! My Eastman 315 went from sounding okay to brighter, cleaner and louder. That's the single best investment I have made so far.
Since I started the thread I guess I better update. On my 315 I put a Hot Spot on it internally on the treble side through the F hole and it sounds great! I also stuck on the input jack right...
The m100 is quiet on my Eastman but it sings on my Rover! Don't worry it gets used!
Been loving this pick. I've started to move from larger triangles to the roundish style. Does anyone have a suggestion of another option like this one? BC, Red Bear, Dunlop etc that might be similar....
No large triangles???
I play an Eastman and the toneguard made a huge difference. I basically had two cheaper mandos and just combined them. I'll spend the money on my Eastman for updates.
I see them on the Sweetwater page but none in the triangle shape.
Where did you read this?
I have a Johnson (Rogue) oval that would never sound good. I think its mostly because it didn't have a truss rod to help with the action. Last week I acquired a Rover Rm 75 that had no bridge, screws...
Too small for a boat!
Also can I use this pickup internal if I want?
I recently purchased a K&K Hot Spot thanks to all the great advice on here. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on attaching the pickup or the input jack on my mandolin besides the standard...
Never thought about a tapastring jack but never knew the name of them. I read some reviews and a lot of people agree that the quality is solid. JJB and K&K seem to be the top dogs.
Mostly a budget. External was an option cause I didn't want to drill a hole in my mandolin. I have seen the twin in a lot of places. May need to rethink it.
Externally.
Gotta get it!
After posting on this forum for a pickup for my Eastman 315, It seems that K&K is the best option for me. Im curious if anyone has an opinion between the Hot Spot and the Big Shot. Both are in my...
Thanks Mike. I guess I need to consider lots of options. Music ministry is where I keep landing with my mandolin so maybe I need to figure that out a little better as well.
It looks like K&K might be my best option. I really like Behringer pedals mandobart. I use the bass version to run through the sound system at church and it really makes a big difference. I will look...
