I have had one about a year, fits KM-606 perfectly. Well made. joe
I have been using Finger Ease once or twice a year for 40 years. Very light coat and never any problems. joe
I don't have anything to compare it to, but i have one. Just bought it out of curiosity and nostalgia. It plays very well, of course i am new to the mando. but a 40 year plus guitar picker. For...
I have a Kentucky KM 276. Did my own setup, fit the bridge and 1/4 turn on the truss rod to take out some underbow. The frets were/are fine. I like a fairly low action, and it plays very well and...
Oolenoy Fri night. Pumpkin town. Locals and pretty friendly. joe
Little more info. is needed. A or F style, oval hole or F hole. Model # would be helpful. Just my opinion. joe
Best advice i ever got was 40+ years ago. Go slow and take your time. You can't mess up anything that someone can't fix, but the faster you go the more it will cost to have it fixed. I have followed...
Fleur De Lis ?
With the additional information, she said he bought it as a blem. which means a discount. I do have sympathy for the med condition, but it looks like it is only about $200.00 cheaper than new at the...
How could they not notice that? I think they were deceptive, however for the right price I could live with it, only you can determine that price. joe
Wishing you well, Prayers offered. joe
Well I ordered one and it's supposed to be here Thur. I think it's a step up for me. I thought i would get more quality and less bling with this one. I know it's going to need some setup, but I'm not...
I use a Golden Gate "stiff" .91mm, but i'm too new to have a valid opinion. joe
I bought one this past summer to fool with a bit. It's OK, but not great. If you're looking for an oval hole, I bought a KM-276 about 7 weeks ago and really enjoy it. It came with a pretty good setup...
I am kinda like you, 40+ year guitar player. I recently got a Kentucky KM-276 oval hole. I don't really have enough experience to have an opinion, but i really like it. It has plenty of punch and...
I use a 1" natural bristle paint brush to clean next to the frets. It will get under the strings from the side. joe
I do, a fingernail emery board works really well, and leaves a fairly decent finish. Just my opinion. joe
Due to arthritis / injury i use a small pair of needle nose pilers. If you grip it lightly you won't mar it. joe
Does the binding add any structural strength, or is it merely dressing up a mandolin? I tried to search the forum for an answer, but i guess I'm just not smart enough. I like the look of a basic...
I'm subscribed and amazed by her. joe
Ordered one last Fri., supposed to be here today. I thought if nothing else, it would protect the back of my mandolin. joe
Morning - coffee, mid-day - tea, evening - beer.
Old man, new member. Old picker, new to mandolin. In May i bought a The Loar 310F mandolin. Played pretty well after i set it up. Two weeks ago, the neck started separating. Store gave me a refund. I...
