  1. Re: Use of Fast Fret String and Finger board Cleaner

A big pink eraser scrubbed along the strings.
Use alcohol if needed (but protect fingerboard)
strings like new for a while anyway.
  2. Re: multitrack recording and latency; calling for help

Not sure if you know this already but Audacity has a very good latency fix.

This is just one of many YouTube videos showing how to do it.

    Re: Strum Machine vs Tunefox

Started using Strum Machine out of curiosity over two years ago. I've used it every day since.
And it keeps getting better. Worth it.

    Re: A Different Busking Question

During the Pandemic I stopped asking for money (that was an odd time in NYC).
    The interactions became very satisfying.
I still politely refuse any money. It simplifies things.

Re: Anyone busk with their mandolin?

I have with a mandola and then with a baritone uke tuned in 5ths.
The Uke got much more attention. It had a very sweet sound and people like ukes.
The was in NYC during the pandemic. Lots of really...

    Re: Pick Talk

When my pick sound changes it's almost always my picking attack that has changed.

A few minutes playing around and I can get the sound back.

  7. Re: Anyone compared Fender 346 EXTRA HEAVY with Blue Chip CT55

    Thanks
    Worth a try I think.
  8. Re: Anyone compared Fender 346 EXTRA HEAVY with Blue Chip CT55

Are the Extra Heavy significantly different from the Heavy?

I ask because the Heavy don't work for me.

    Re: 4-string acoustic?

    I can't say for sure.
But there is a "cult" of die-hard supporters on line. His work is pretty to look at after all.
Mine was acoustically dead. Low volume & ugly sounding.

    Re: 4-string acoustic?

I bought a Bruce Wei baritone uke a while back that was a very poor acoustic instrument.

I mounted a humbucker pickup at the neck and used nickel mandola strings from Emando.
    It's 19" scale and...

I own the Airline Map Mandola

    196868

I played it for about a year but then wandered away.
The really thin neck bothered me.
But it's a lot of fun to play.

    Mazas! My boyhood friend.
My violin teacher and I spent many hours with him.

Honest a humble Graphic Equalizer pedal has been my best friend for years.

Re: Flatwounds on an Eastman MD315

As a former cellist I feel in love with the feel of flats also.

Your instrument will have the last say though.

Mine sounded very dull. Just string and pick. No wood.
After a few weeks I just...
  20. Re: Extract vocal and instrumental tracks from any audio

    Correction My comment was unclear.

You can now remove a single instrument from a track.
So ditch the lead and play along with the band or whatever you please.
  21. Re: Extract vocal and instrumental tracks from any audio

    LALAL.AI has been updated.

You can remove instrument tracks now as well as vocals.

    Now I'm getting interested.

I haven't found the answer and foolishly thought someone would tell me. I'll get in touch with Boss.

    Re: EastWOOD electric mandolin

    It's good looking.
I'm seriously tempted to go for their baritone uke when it's available.(basically a 4 string mandola)
But it overlaps other instruments I have a little too much.
  25. Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator vs Boss AC-2 Acoustic Simulator

    I can't find a description on the difference between the AC-2 & AC-3.
The AC-2's are reasonably priced. The AC-3's are not.

Does anyone know what the difference is?

btw I bought a cheapo Koogo...
