  1. Re: International shipping: any recommendations

I sold a tenor banjo to a guy in New York, Fed Ex picked it up in Bradford West Yorkshire on a Thursday morning and delivered it in New York on the following Saturday,

    2 days, doesn't get much...
  2. Re: Another Tune I Wrote(it's an Irish jig)

Re: Bridge upgrade on new Eastman mando?

I can't understand why someone would be thinking about changing the bridge on an instrument they have never played, seems odd to me.

Re: Speed of bluegrass... is it just me?

This reminds me of an interviewer asking the great Irish piper Finbar Furey why he played so fast, Finbar replied ' because I can '

I thinks this applies to a few mandolin players too.

Re: Worst scroll of the last century?

It's worse than that, very small centre on the body scroll and the headstock scroll is mishapen, but it's a great sounding instrument so I can live with it.

Re: Worst scroll of the last century?

I've got a Gibson F9 with an awful looking scroll, the mandolin itself sounds fabulous.

    Re: ?Leather shoulder Strap Pad?

The trouble with movable shoulder pads is they move wether you want it to or not.
Can't see why a small instrument like a mandilin would need one.
