    Re: FB SOL Incognito

Suggestion #1: Cat drawing on headstock. Mice running away from cat on sides.

    Re: FB SOL Incognito

When you consider this SOL ( www.ebay.com/itm/166645897642 ) sold for over $100 ($85 + 15 shipping + tax) missing parts. The SOL above is a bargain. Unfortunately, he won't ship it. Also, that bridge...

Re: Regal Le Domino Mandolin C.1933

There are several Le Domino Guitars, one Tenor, several ukes and a couple banjolins between eBay & Reverb. In various qualities.

FYI Dominos are not Dice. Though I see the confusion. Is there a...

    Re: Old Gibson needs fixin'

Well, it may be uninspiring, pretty ugly and overpriced ($255+shipping+tax=already over $300 and not done yet) but it keeps calling to me (Is there a cure for that?)

    Re: Strad-O-Lin in UK 1939?

The first SOL's with this stencil were laminated back & sides with solid tops but when it comes to SOL's there is probably no absolute.
Many of the painted black back & side SOL's are laminated...

    Re: Strad-O-Lin Bridges

Don't throw those old SOL bridges out as they are, more than likely, Brazilian Rosewood. I paid $5 each for three old SOL bridges and sold one for $25 (paid for my bar tab / high finance). There is a...

It sold for $45.26 (+ shipping + tax)! Probably a good players SOL and a bargain if it doesn't need a lot of work

    Re: Strad-O-Lin Circa 1940?

The problem with this SOL may be it is starting to Delaminate. The guy said the action is good but pieces are flaking off. Which is why I prefer solid wood SOL's.

    Re: 1940s Strad-O-Lin

I'm fairly certain this would sound good (mine does / same model) but laminated SOL's only bring between $100 and maybe $250 for a really nice one, on a good day.

    Re: 1940s Strad-O-Lin

This is laminated so yeah it's overpriced. I have this model, paid $125.00 for mine. There is no date stamp in mine, isn't this 1950/s and not 1940's as advertised?
