    In Its Original hard Case I packed my Mandolin in a duffle bag, thickly wrapped in my clothing ,

    And that duffle bag was strapped to a back pack frame ..

    as I had shuttle vans...

    wind the additional 3 " of wire around it, the standing part of the wire
    gripped by a pair of Vice Grips..

    I had one in the 70's .. .. .. Amber- natural finish , Mahogany neck , ff holes , rosewood fingerboard glued to the top

    Adding to Allen's Nomenklatura .. the Irish Zouk is also an octave (8va) lower , longer scale , thinner strings, fits in a Banjo case.

    A8 has some hollow cavities , the in-bridge 4 piezo pickup pieces and onboard preamp are by RMC of Berkeley California ..
    Godin is made in Canada.
