The D'Addario's are their "plain vanilla" nylon strings so they are easy to find.
They tune up easily with low tension so I think the Martins would be OK.

Ha! I haven't been to Junior's in years.
That will be my 1st stop when the pandemic is behind us.
My Eastwood Airline mandola lost 4 strings a while back. It didn't need them.
I also turned two Baritone Ukes into 4 string mandolas. (love the wide necks)
Then I bought a tenor guitar.

I bought mine directly from Kala also.
But mine came with a huge bow in the neck.
A truss rod adjustment put things right but it was a shock to see how bad it was.
Your right it's a fine looking...

I'll upload tomorrow morning if that's OK.

It looks new, but 14 years in a warehouse? What?
Anyway I love it.
In a bedroom I hang moving blankets on the walls (not total coverage) and put a few on the floor.
It works very well. It turned a very reflective room into a good sounding studio for cheap.

All the ones (that I have seen) have only a bridge pickup.
One pickup is fine - but only a bridge pickup?
Otherwise I really love them also.

Pretty piece. Well done.
I would never use a magnetic pickup if I was trying to get an acoustic sound though. I would suggest an acoustic pickup like a K&K.
If I am going for electric guitar-like sounds I use a solid-body...
And then give your opinion to everyone.
Wow! These are wonderful.
Oh that does sound good.
I've got the Kala Tenor and it has (of course) a very different sound.
Sweet tone.
I like those too - great mid century look.
They look uncomfortable to play, but I'd love to try one.
Last I checked they were no longer in production.
Yeah... there's that.
