I wish Ivan Kelsall were around to see this.
A fellow was selling the Small Dog on FB, said it would fit a Calton. It fits the Presto like a dang glove. It's a good case.
The orange is a Duff Presto, the tweed is a Guardian
Perhaps so. But there are mid-stride periods that hold special sway. Someone mentioned Gilchrist's D log mandolins, which I think were crafted in the 2000 - 2010 era, maybe a bit later. And then...
I always liked Steve's answer: "The next one".
Well, I have a 1984 A5-1 Flatiron, Carlson-signed, in very fine condition. I paid $2,500 for it a couple of years ago, have since souped it up with EVO frets, a Bruce Weber trad bridge, a bone nut...
Touching story, Joe. Can I ask what is the serial # of that one? I own 419, from around the same time.
Learn this, all you need to know.
Terrific read about a terrific player.
Thanks!

The scrolling alert reveals some terrific recordings that span genres, time and space. This one is terrific, with an eclectic array of songs and grooves. Sleigh Ride, in particular, is very exciting....
I bought a PEEK and a casein from this seller.
Quality product, with superior customer service.
I was unfamiliar with this SKB case until I received a mandolin packed in it. Good, well-made, solid, lightweight case.
If I already didn't have a good A model, I'd consider this bad boy big-time. And, it's Kelley, btw.

I liked it, too. His vocals remind me of Gregg Allman a bit.
I have a few of the black Pickboy 207 picks. Good, stout pick.
Well, I own a Kentucky 805 that is well-made, sounds good and plays well. The inside of the scrolls is un-finished. This does not bother me.
