Sorry I shred...
Stretching ,especially in the negative (opposite) direction of muscle use. I am an arthritic , I play to stay limber and stretch to ease the aches and pains, right down to my fingers.
Epiphone uses ball end. Right now I using Fender electric mandosrings which came as a set of 8. I find using online resources for my mando strings is most useful. Everyone round here plays guitar...
Beveled edge for mando , liking the Surf pick and the Wegen. Fender medium for acoustic guitar. Fingers work great too.
Found a Vega bowlback at my local music shop. The asking price is 650, fair deal or no. It looks very minty, no wear on the top,no separations between the staves. Looks minty for its age.

Ordered a pair today. Cab't wait to see how they stand up to the weggans.

Sounds good, deal me in.
I play it in G on mando & guitar.

gg dd aa ee one octave lower than a mando, octave at fret 12.
Sloop John B, then Streets of Laredo.
Ilike all the bands work but my favorite id Moondog Matinee...Mystery Train.
Go for it. I paid that for my '61. It has great tone, tuners and action. The ebony nut and bridge give it a warm woody tone that I like a lot. Fun to strum with no pick. It does not bluegrass well.
I purchased the same model this past summer. It is my first electric anything so I am a real rookie, but I must agree with everything you have said about it. My price was 204 shipped so we are...
