Yeah, I had looked at that Crossrock but it's not designed for a A body mandola. It does fit the F-bodied Gibson H5 however, according to Crossrock.
For a size comparison, here it is next to a yellow Crossrocks mandolin case

Just wanted to pass this along, since mandola cases are difficult to find. I bought this case from the ebay seller who sells the Hora instruments. Shipped from Romania, so took nearly a month but I...
Not mine, NFI, just thought it gorgeous and y'all might enjoy some eye candy:

I bought a lovely A3 from that seller earlier this year -- very fair price, mandolin was described well, and the mandolin was packed for shipping exceptionally well and shipped quickly. Altogether...
Eastwood is 25% off. I may or may not have bought a Model 6 electric mandola ;-)
1912 Gibson A3 here -- neck is a burly piece of work and is as straight as when it left the factory. :-)
I enjoy having both together as well -- standard notation gives more context to tab. Still in the process of learning SN for mando
Awesome book tho, and this may help push me to finish learning...
The neck on those teens Gibsons are nice & stocky -- I find my 1912 does well with medium strings & sounds fabulous with GHS Silk & Steel. I previously had standard EJ74s. Enjoy your Gibson, I love...
Good idea re charcoal -- I may switch to that if the baking soda doesn't work. Or add it as a secondary. I haven't opened up the plastic bag yet to see how it's doing.
We don't get newspapers...
Idk i this might help anyone -- and full disclosure, the verdict isn't in yet -- but I bought a uke on Reverb that arrived smelling of cigarette smoke.
I ended up filling a D'Addario small...
Great, now every time I pick up my Gibson A, all I'm going to see is the lack of a cat in the soundhole! Thought that mandolin was darn near perfect! :))
:)) We may never know!
I've just been using it with headphones & the MPP, but it definitely rocks through that. I need to do the firmware update for the Nux MPP, apparently it includes a built in...
Thanks, it's easy to be fearless when it's an inexpensive instrument lol. Hubby's recovering, but we're headed back for an eye checkup on Wednesday -- I will have the u-mando in hand for the...
So this project all started when my husband had emergency surgery for a detached retina, and we were spending hours in various waiting rooms. It occurred to me that if I had a small, "silent"...
Yep, that definitely looks like your case! Really interesting history. I would love to see the 1915 & 1916 catalogsto see when the M&W cases were dropped.
I checked out and commented on that FB...
This Vintage Cases FB group was mentioned in one of those threads:

This is my first time seeing this style case -- it seems to have disappeared at least by 1917 (wish I had access to all the Gibson catalogs). I'm guessing it possibly didn't sell well? And possibly...
My Gibson, in addition to the gunky neck, also had a dirty (and smelly!) film on it. I suspect a lot of ancient tobacco smoke. The 0000 worked great on that as well (going with the wood grain) --...
I had similar gunk on my 1914 Gibson -- tried water, Naphtha, those didn't work. What worked best was extra fine (0000) steel wool, followed by a lightly damp soft cloth. There is still...
I measured with calipers in inches, since Gibson wouldn't have been using metric in 1914. It's 0.25" (6.35mm), which Stewmac carries. Hoping it looks similar enough to the originals that it won't...
Hey all — my 1914 Gibson A3 is missing the 7th fret dot (how it was when I bought it). Any recommendations on where to get a replacement? I’ve been googling but it’s a bit overwhelming.
I’ve got...
That is one interesting looking mando. What does it sound like?

I did a little googling, and it seems like...
I totally missed the CBOM section, I'm an idiot. Thank you. I can't see a way to move this thread.
Thank you so much for the suggestions
