    Default Arkansas Traveler Chord Melody

I've gotten some comments that chord melody isn't really applicable to non-Jazz tunes. So, I thought I'd try exactly that. Here's my chord melody arrangement of Arkansas Traveler. I hope you enjoy it!

That is a reference to the Stanley Brothers recording of their take on the Arkansas Traveler skit involving a stranger asking a local farmer various questions and getting nonsensical answers. The Stanley Bro's recording is called "How Far to Little Rock".

    Nice job on the tune.

I was actually unfamiliar with this version, but am happy to learn of it! The version I was referencing was recorded by Garcia and Grisman as Arkansas Traveler on 'Not For Kids Only' and paraphrases much of the same dialogue from the Stanley Brothers' recording

If I remember there are two pages of jokes before getting to the B part of the tune.
