Despite the high cost of living, it still remains popular...
The band name a couple friends and I came up with (I am finding myself wanting to play with them more and more lately):
Clandestine Dissertation.
I live by a big river, and jam with my friends , hence ' river-jammers'. [If any name is required]
writing about music
is like dancing,
about architecture
Myself and several "contemporaries" have an acoustic-oriented band we call "OLDPLAY" ... apparently there is a young R 'n R outfit from Britain that heard about as and adapted our band name ??? ..I believe they call themselves COLDPLAY....(stupid bloody name )....
Quote from roysboy - "COLDPLAY....(stupid bloody name )...". Not if you live in the UK it's not, & dare i say that BC probably fits the name as well.
I used to phone my late Canadian friend & mandolin player,David Tinkoff, over in Ottawa on occasion. He'd always ask about the weather. I'd tell him that it had been down to -6 deg.over night & David would say 'Hell fire, you got a heatwave !'. It was around -35 deg.in Ottawa. At least we don't get the Ice storms that you guys got over in Canada a few years back.We saw it on UK TV & if Hell ever does freeze over,it'll look just like that,

Weber F-5 'Fern'.
Lebeda F-5 "Special".
Stelling Bellflower BANJO
Tokai - 'Tele-alike'.
Ellis DeLuxe "A" style.
Stark Raving Sane
Curtis Martin and the Screaming Fetal Pigs
Stare at the Ground
Galloping Goldfish
Trying to think of a new name for my mandolin quartet. Take the Fifth might work. There are 32 strings in a mandolin quartet, and 32 is 2 to the fifth.
Emando.com: More than you wanted to know about electric mandolins.
Notorious: My Celtic CD--listen & buy!
Lyon & Healy • Wood • Thormahlen • Andersen • Bacorn • Yanuziello • Fender • National • Gibson • Franke • Fuchs • Aceto • Three Hungry Pit Bulls
Seán Fir Sneachta, Irish for Old Snowmen. Not sure why it just sounded good when someone said it.
My favorite is a band in Richmond:
Special Ed and the Short Bus
