I don't like that kind of arch. May sound nice, but that's not the way to load a recurved arch.

Thanks for your help Stephen, I will try and exchange it.
Made the switch to the Eastman MD315 F5 style! I told my local music dealer they are awesome people to have put up with me! I'll post some brag pictures later...

Love that look !
No matter where I go, there I am...Unless I'm running a little late.
Looks close to the same to me. Maybe not quite as pronounced, but not quite same angle either.
(Highest point still looks to be well behind the bridge)
Nice flame. Pretty mando.

You are spot on Astro, with your observations. The sides are nicely flamed maple, some of the prettiest I've seen. Inside the scroll is very clean, no extra finish or missing wood there. The white binding is well done, neat. These are well made instruments, and all the hype I heard about them, is true. The MD305 is a sweet mandolin too, and I really liked it. I was reluctant to take it back. This mandolin is one I plan on keeping, along with the Weber Gallatin A. That brown leather color is really sharp looking too. The bottom fret edges are kinda rough on this one, but not going to worry about it now. Just going to enjoy playing it. Merry Christmas and enjoy your Eastman as well! Thanks for your help. You can click on the picture several times for zooming in, it's a high resolution pic.
