Beautiful work!
That's perfect in every way!! Love the inspiring work, I'm about to start varnishing one myself. The bar just keeps getting raised! Well done!
Here's a couple more.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

A very lovely mandolin for sure. My only critique is I find the pickguard to be too small.

Purdy, purdy, purdy. You should be proud.
Woweeee! Beautiful sunburst and choice of color. What colors did you use? If I was in the market for a mando, that would be it!
Looking great. I love the one piece back - reminds me of looking at the Ocean at sunset.

It's nice to be important,
but it's more important to be nice
fabulous work!
Thanks to everyone.
Pfox, I guess I'm from the era when the abbreviated pickguard was all the rage.
Violinvic, I found a wholesale lacquer supplier in Denver many years ago and they make their own premixed colors that I can mix, match, add to lacquer or shellac and that's what I've always used.
Is it spoken for? Not that I am looking right now but, inquiring minds want to know.

Jim -
I doubt that anyone will criticize you for where you posted these pics. Gorgeous work!
Once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge and answering newbie questions patiently and thoughtfully.

Jim, is that a laquer top-coat as well or was it just for the color coats ??? I have all the mixings for an experiment with Epifanes varnish here, and it sure would be nice to know you can achieve that kind of finish with a varnish !! Laquer no problem, but i'm sick of spraying that stuff !
Looks beautiful as always, Jim!

EVO fretwire, or is it just the light?
Jim, I am very happy that it is not an orphan! A good home for a lovely instrument, what could be nicer for Christmas?
