yeah great tune, I heard it in my teens and liked the mando, but I wouldn't say it was directly responsible for me picking up mando, still a great tune

That is a great song, and the whole Mother Lode album was appropriately-named, IMHO. 'Be Free' is the song that initially prompted me to string up my great-grandfather's turn-of-the-century Washburn bowlback and get involved with mandolin in the first place. I still listen to this disc today. Great stuff.
