Default Tenor Banjo GDAE to CGDA

I'm thinking of stringing up a 19 fret tenor banjo, currently set up for GDAE, to CGDA for a foray into dixieland jazz. Will there be any issues with thinner strings rattling around in slots which are wider than they need be, or is the string gauge not that big a difference? Has anyone else made the switch from GDAE to CGDA, and why did you do it?

I switched over and back, no problems... started out atCGDA - 19-fret 1926 Paramount, switched to GDAE - heavier gauges - then back to CGDA for Swing and now back to GDAE for ITM...

Thanks Eddie. I'll go and get myself a set of strings and see how I get on. If the planned musical project falls apart I'll come running back to GDAE!
